Favorite Verse in the Holy Rule: Ch. 72 “They should each try to be the first to show respect to the other (Rom. 12:10), supporting with the greatest patience one another’s weaknesses of body or behavior, and earnestly competing in obedience to one another. No one is to pursue what he judges better for himself, but instead, what he judges better for someone else.”
The JOY of being a Benedictine Sister in this community: A Benedictine community provides a good metaphor for any Christian community. Joy is found in seeking God together in acceptance, support and love. As in every other vocation, joy comes with the emptying of self and, together, embracing the love of God that always surrounds us.
