SISTER ESTHER SCHWEHR

In many ways, Sister Esther's calling was influenced by those in her life.  Her mother always took her to visit Religious Sisters when she was young.  She attended High School in Mankato, Minnesota and was taught by the Notre Dame Sisters.  A Priest suggested the Benedictine order to her but also told her about other orders as well.  Her favorite mission as a sister was teaching young children.  Her goal in life is to fulfill her monastic commitment which she professed on June 24, 1939.
